FAQs - The Truth Revealed

It is the law of nature that when you give, you get. Al-Huda’s main donor is our students. And they donate not just money but open their homes and their hearts to us. They volunteer to share their time, energy, talent – everything, and that too mostly gratis. When people get benefit from an organization and they trust it, they benefit it in return. Simple as that.

I honestly did not know what a Wahabi is till I was labeled one! This is a typical example of labelizing and stereo-typing without authentic reason or proof. Personally, I can vouch for the fact that I have no affiliation with any religious group and I respect every Islamic scholar or group so long as they are in accordance with the Quran and Sunnah.

There is nothing such as the Saudi, the Pakistani, the Eastern or the Western brand of Islam. Islam is for the entire humanity. Islam is not against geographical dispositions and culture, and neither am I. Any country’s cultural inclinations and customs, so long as they don’t clash with the Islamic rulings, are fine by me. The seed of Islam is the same, but the land you will plant it on will leave its flavor on it. As for Saudia, I have never gotten any special support from there. My allegiance is with Islam and Islam is a global religion and way of life.

How can I, God Forbids, stop anyone from one of the deeds that win the pleasure of Allah and is ordained in Surah Al-Ahzaab upon the believers? My tafseer (exegesis) of Surah Al-Ahzab is testimony to that. Yes, I do encourage to recite durood (salutations upon the Prophet saw) in the masnoon words that he taught us, and in a manner that is in accordance with Sunnah.

Islam has given clear roles and rights to both males and females. Ignorance about Islam had lulled women into a semi-conscious state about their rights as women. Quranic awareness has just woken them up and brought certain issues to light. I also highlight the duties of women, not just their rights. I do not have a gender-biased approach.
I have always stressed upon my students to balance their responsibilities, and as a teacher they have seen me do the same as I juggled my roles as wife, mother, teacher, daughter and sister. In fact mostly students share how their relationships with children, spouse and in-laws have become better after learning the Quran. Isolated incidences in which women could not maintain a balance do not represent Al-Huda’s or my teachings.
